FROM YORKSHIRE (M62/M60)
Leave M60 motorway at Junction 17, following signs for Prestwich (A56). Stay on A56 for approximately 3 miles. As you come into the city centre you will pass under a railway bridge, passing the new M.E.N. Arena on your left. Continue into town and then turn left onto John Dalton Street (signposted “Town Hall” on a white sign, a little after Kendals store on the right). Go straight on through the next set of lights, continuing past Town Hall, on Princess Street. Pass through several sets of lights and then under the Mancunian Way (A57[M]), taking the first right at the lights, (white signs “King’s Church” and “Oxford Road”) onto Grosvenor Street.
From there proceed along Grosvenor Street crossing over the next junction and turn right at the next set of lights by Barclays Bank, then take the first right again at the next set of lights, onto Sidney Street. Follow Sidney Street round and King’s House is on the right, opposite Sugden Sports Centre car park.
FROM THE NORTH/SCOTLAND (M6)/(M61)
From the M61 follow signs for M602 signposted Salford. Continue to the end of the M602 and follow signs for the A57 Manchester. Drive past Sainsbury’s and under a railway bridge which will bring you to an underpass. Follow signs for A57 (M), Mancunian Way. Once on the A57(M) follow signs for Congleton (A34) and leave the Mancunian Way taking a tight left into Sackville Street, keeping in the left hand lane. Turn left onto Upper Brook Street (A34) and then first right at the traffic lights (signposted “King’s Church” and “Oxford Road”) onto Grosvenor Street.
From there proceed along Grosvenor Street crossing over the next junction and turn right at the next set of lights by Barclays Bank, then take the first right again at the next set of lights, onto Sidney Street. Follow Sidney Street round and King’s House is on the right, opposite Sugden Sports Centre car park.
FROM THE SOUTH AND WEST (M6)/(M56)
Leave the M6 at Junction 19 and take the third exit from the roundabout signposted Manchester A556. Continue on the A556 until the next roundabout again taking the third exit, signposted M56 (Manchester). Follow the M56 towards Manchester. However, watch junction 3 where there is an exit for M56 traffic towards Stockport. Stay on the main road which becomes A5103 into Manchester (Princess Parkway, later Princess Road)
From there continue forward on Princess Road, past a large cemetery and then playing fields on your left. After you passed a Shell petrol station on your left, the houses on the right then become a series of shops, soon after which is a set of traffic lights with a large brewery on the right. At this point turn right onto Moss Lane East. Continue along Moss Lane East until you arrive at a T-junction at the end of the park, turn left onto Wilmslow Road which then becomes Oxford Road. Continue forward and at the fourth set of lights (not counting pedestrian crossings, turn right into Sidney Street and follow the road round. King’s House is on the right hand side, opposite Sugden Sports Centre car park.
FROM NOTTS/DERBYSHIRE A6
Follow A6 to Stockport and then pick up the M60 (West) (may also be signposted M56/Airport at the stage). Once on the M60 (ringroad) ignore all sigs for M56/Airport. At junction 5 of the M60 follow signs for A5103 towards Manchester (Princess Road).
Continue forward on Princess Road (A5103), past a large cemetery and then playing fields on your left.
