Bible Week 07

A fantastic week of ministry, community, and just a little mud. Keri opened the Bible Week by saying “I’m glad you made it”. Right from the start through the prophetic word God that said He wanted to bless us and soak us in the Holy Spirit, and that is what He did throughout the week. Keri ministered from the life of Jabez, a man to whom the Bible devotes only two verses in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. Jabez cried out to God “Oh, that you would bless me, and enlarge my territory! … And God granted his request”. We were exhorted throughout the week to know our identity in Christ, to give our whole selves to seeking the King and His Kingdom. On the Tuesday afternoon the sun came out and we had a BBQ on the Manchester site, it was great to see the family of God fellowshipping together and breaking bread.

In each of the main meetings we has opportunity to give, as offerings were taken for the poor and needy within the church and abroad, to ministries, and to the work that the churches are doing in Cuba and the Philippines. We saw and heard how money had been sown across the nations over the last year. What a privilege to be a part of seeing the Gospel go into all the Nations!

Everyone of my children had a fantastic time. The younger ones had been looking forward to Bible week since February! Jack was impacted and challenged by the teaching and ministry in Youth (thanks to Judah & Rachel and the team). Kezia in the 8 to 11’s came away having been taught about gifts of the Spirit (thanks to the team from Swansea church). Levi gave his testimony about being baptised last year, and now knows all the words to “Supernatural” (thanks to Dave Knight and all the helpers), Daisy went to Globetrotters and loved learning about the King and the Kingdom and the Shiny Show worship (thanks to Ruth Ling and the team form Living Rock Church).
Thanks too to everyone who helped – musicians, singers, stewards and site security team.
We are a blessed People, our God is so good!

CDs and DVDs of the meetings are available for purchase, please go to the Help Desk, or contact the church office in the next couple of weeks.
