Knowing the peace of God in a storm
Amy Letitia tells of how the indwelling Word of God kept her in peace during an attempted break-in.
At a “Life in the Spirit” meeting Naomi Hemp had a prophetic word for me: Ephesians 6:10 ‘Put on the full armour of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.’
This prophetic word over me was an incredible insight into the Kingdom of Heaven as two weeks later at exactly 12.30am a burglar was seriously trying to get into the house. It wasn’t as if this guy was secretly trying to get in, he was banging and throwing bricks at our front door. For the first 5 minutes my mum and I were terrified, why? I honestly don’t know! I guess we were walking in the flesh. We prayed and spoke in tongues for this guy to go away, meditating over Ephesians 6:10, we realised we had entered into God’s presence and nothing provoked us. After 5 minutes of this guy being at our door we called the police who took over 20 minutes to get to our home. But whilst worshipping God through this traumatic time, we realised we had nothing to be afraid of. NOTHING! This experience has taught me a lot, since then I know I have nothing to fear, that’s right nothing! The police came took his details and well the happy ending is that we are safe, alive, and strengthened in God.
God is good, all the time!
