Getting to know you
Last Friday evening was a great opportunity to hang out with awesome people over games and a cup of tea. I met some new friends and caught up with old ones. We brainstormed over poster proposals, acted out “embarrassing moments” and carried each other across Seminar Room 1 on bits of newspaper (don’t ask!).
It’s just so important for us to remember that our church family is not a group of people we see for two hours on a Sunday, but true brothers and sisters who share the same Father. We have something amazing in common, and so we can support and encourage each other in a powerful way.
Come ready to get to know each other. I am excited about the new faces I met yesterday, excited about spending more time with them over a meal, a movie or evangelising on the streets. I am excited to see what God does through our lives as His people this year.
P/S: There will be no Amplify this Fri 25th Sept as we are going to Worldwatch Conference in Cardiff. The next meeting is The Gathering on Fri 2nd Oct 7.30pm with other churches in Manchester, here in King’s House. See you there!
