Leadership – Eldership
King’s Church is led by a team of elders under the apostolic ministry of Keri Jones – see Wider Ministries
Richard Anniss
Richard joined King’s Church as a university student back in 1994. He says he knew from the first time he met with the church that he’d found where he belonged. It was here in King’s Church that Richard met and married his wife, Judith, and together they now have three children. Richard grew steadily in his gifting and calling and joined the eldership team in the year 2000. He has led the team since 2004. Richard and Judith have a real passion for the Kingdom of God. They long for a mature and radical church who knows she’s sent in the love, authority and power of Jesus to make Him famous to the ends of the earth.
Dave Emmett
Dave is a gifted and passionate teacher of God’s Word. He has served God faithfully in a number of contexts including for ten years with the church in the Congo. It was in the Congo that Dave met his wife, Philippa. Since returning to the UK Dave has worked both in a local school teaching French and full time for the church. Since his recognition as an elder in 1994, he has consistently shown that leadership and ministry are not defined by title or paid position. As well as teaching and equipping within the church, Dave currently serves as the Principal of Covenant School of Ministries: School of the Word (click here to visit the college’s website). Dave and Philippa have three children.
Gavin White
Born and bred in Bradford, Gavin came to Manchester in 1995 to study architecture. King’s Church quickly became his home and he has been very actively involved ever since. Gavin joined the eldership team in 2004 with a particular passion to help the church make Jesus famous in the workplace and in the community. He also oversees the church’s administration and finance teams on behalf of the elders. Gavin is married to Rachel and they have two children.

Peter Paine
God used a Biblical reference to ‘bowels of compassion’ to draw Pete and his wife Hazel from London to the North West in the year 2000! Pete works as a consultant gastroenterologist in Salford. He was recognised in his eldership role in 2008. Pete and Hazel describe their calling as being part of the wedding preparations of a glorious bride. They share a vision of a wonderful people drawn together from every nation, tribe, people and language, enjoying the love of the Bridegroom who has laid down and continues to pour out His life for them. Pete and Hazel have five children.
