My name is Natalia and I’m from Bahrain. Before I knew God’s love, I worked hard at praying every night and thought I could please God on my own strength, reciting the same ritualistic prayers. I knew that something was missing in my life. I had a bad temper and used to get angry at my brother, shout back at my parents, hold grudges against others and be stubborn just to prove a point.


But three years ago I experienced God’s love and became a Christian. A friend invited me to church, and as I saw people freely singing and praising God, I just broke down in tears. I couldn’t stop crying and felt a warm feeling across my body. I knew something had changed in me and I gave my life to Jesus. I realise now that I had felt the physical touch of God.

Now I know that God made me to be in relationship with him because he loves me. I found freedom in that experience, as though a weight was lifted from me. I knew that I didn’t have to impress God. I know that I can be myself and that God didn’t want to judge me but he loves me and wants to help me.

Since I’ve known Jesus, I no longer react the way I used to. Jesus has changed me to become a more loving and patient person. I can see his love growing in me more and more each day and I thank him for that.
